Editorial Make-up

Hey Dolls,

Today i have a tutorial for you all inspired by the photo below, on the right is a colour editorial make-up from Elle Russia magazine, which i have used as inspiration to create my look on the left..

My step by step guide on how you can acheieve this look at home..

Prep + Prime
Ok so the first thing you want to do is use either a moisturiser or a primer to prep your skin. Im using Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. You'll want to make sure you have a nice smooth lips so be sure to prep your lips with a lip conditioner too, im using lucas pawpaw.
Face
Im going to apply a concealer that matches my model's skin colour to cover any blemishes and areas of redness on her face some people prefer to apply concealer after foundation and some before, I think its really down to personal preference and what works best for you. My model provided her own foundation for this look (Elizabeth Arden) so im going to apply this all over my model's face using a flat top foundation brush and then set the foundation using a white transcluent face powder, to create a matte finish.
Eyes
I'm using my coastal scents 88 original palette for this look, im going to take a teal blue-green eyeshadow and apply it all over both lids.
Eyebrows
This particular look is quite strong so I wanted to make sure to emphasise the eyebrows. I added a dark brown eyeshadow to fill them in and followed the natural shape of the brows.
Eyelashes
The eyelashes Im using are ones I ordered off ebay, if anyones interested leave a comment below and I can add the link to the seller. For this look i recommend using high impact, dramatic lashes. To achieve the pink accents on the sides I used a hot pink lipstick and painted it on ;)

Eyeliner

Take a thin eye liner brush and apply a gel liner or liquid (whichever you prefer along) the base of the top lashline of both eyes and along the lower lashline then apply a black pencil liner in your waterline. I've used MAC 'Blacktrack Fluidline'.
Cheeks
For this look i've used a muted pink blush on the apples of the cheeks.
Lips
Using a shimmery highlighting powder, like MAC's 'Soft and Gentle' highlight the cupids bow then apply a hot pink lip colour to the lips. Apply a highlighting powder to the middle of the bottom lip and finish with a coat of clear gloss.
I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial.
